Jitendra Choudhury is a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and has won the Indian general elections, 2014 from the Tripura East (Lok Sabha constituency). in 2018 on 22nd party Congress of cpim, he is elected as member of central committee of cpim.He is current president of GMP,the tribal wings of cpim.He is also joint secretary of AIKS,peasants wing of Cpim.He is raising various issue regarding tribal community of tripura and India. .[1]
