Jirikhimti is a market center in Myanglung Municipality in the Himalayas of Terhathum District in the Kosi Zone of eastern Nepal. Formerly a Village Development Committee this place was merged to form the new municipality since 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2682 people living in 509 individual households. Jirikhimti is most popular market existing on the top of Himalayas.[1]

Geography& climate

  • Usually, with the view of climate jirikhimti being on top has a little cold or it gets cold in winter & even in rainy season the climate stays cold to some degree.
  • Geographically, it is in hilly reason on top & the area locates at lakeside & the environment of jirikhimti is quite cold as its altitude is higher.

Bazaar Management

In Jirikhimti there are many types of academic institutes like name of evergreen English, ideal academy for a good and batter education and one Jirikhmti multiple campus for higher education, as well as bachelor in education subjects. Jirikhimti is good for higher education with many places for students to came and stay for higher education. Jirikhimti has one campus of agriculture. Many of Jirikhimti's student have a dream to study in Jirikhimti. Two schools have +2 – one is government and one is private.
