The Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), is a private engineering and management school located in the state of West Bengal, India. Founded in the year, 1989, it is the oldest private engineering school in the state.[1]

Academics

The undergraduate courses offer B.Tech in engineering streams including Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, while the postgraduate courses offer an M.Tech degree. There is a provision for Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering and MSc. in Information Science. The institute offers postgraduate diploma course in Management Studies.

Apart from these, the Faculty of Technology offers Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree course. The institute offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level respectively. [2]

Ranking

The institute is ranked 79 among all the engineering colleges in India by the engineering ranking publication of (NIRF 2016)MHRD[3].It is ranked in top 150 colleges of India in NIRF 2018(MHRD).It has often been considered the best private engineering college in the state of West Bengal, India.[4].It is a NAAC grade 'A' college.
