ICAT Design and Media College is a college offering education related to digital design and media. It offers full-time UG, PG Diploma and Masters Programs of 3 years, 1 year and 2 years respectively, in collaboration with an Indian and UK University.[1] The college has three campuses around South India: Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.[2]

ICAT is expanded as Image College of Arts, Animation & Technology. It is managed by Image Infotainment Ltd.[1]

Academic programs

ICAT offers Post Graduate Diploma programs in Design & Media. Also it offers undergraduate degree programs in association with Bharathiar University.

History

ICAT was established in 2004, in Chennai. In 2008, the college established two new campuses at Bangalore and Hyderabad, India. In 2009, ICAT entered into a technical collaboration with Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu to offer BSc Multimedia and BSc Digital Media programs.[3] Then in 2012, ICAT partnered with Birmingham City University, UK to offer UG courses in Digital Media.[4] Later in 2013, the college collaborated with Bharathiar University to offer BSc and MSc programs that are recognised by the Government of India and comes under the purview of UGC.[3]
