Chandigarh University (CU) is a private university located on NH-95, Chandigarh-Ludhiana Highway, Mohali, Punjab, India.[2][3]
Academics
Chandigarh University offers undergraduate and post-graduate and doctorate courses in various disciplines including Engineering , Management , Computing, Education, Animation and Multimedia, Tourism, Pharma Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Commerce, Legal Studies, Agricultural Science, Media Studies, Liberal Arts and Basic Sciences.[4] It also offers Engineering and Management Programs in collaboration with IBM[5][6] as well as an MBA in Banking & Financial Engineering in collaboration with the ICICI Direct Centre for Financial Learning. CU has MoU with University of Canberra for Research & Academics.[7]
Placements
In session 2017-18, 118 Multinational Companies from Core Engineering branches visited Chandigarh University and 1097 students were placed in engineering only.[8] In 2017, 4690 students from sectors like Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Hotel Management got placement offers from more than 360 companies.[9]
Activities
University students participate in activities such as events, workshops[10], competitions like Bhangra[11], sports like powerlifting.[12]
Alumni
Some alumnus of CU got into entrepreneurship.[13]
