Ifeadikachukwu Anthony Odenigbo (born April 8, 1994) is an American football defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Northwestern, and was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft.[1]

College career

Ifeadi played college football at Northwestern. There he recorded the second most sacks in school history with 23.5. On October 1, 2016, Odenigbo tallied 4 of the Wildcats’ 6 total sacks against the Iowa Hawkeyes. In 2016, he led the Big Ten Conference in sacks with 10 and was voted to the All-Big Ten First-Team (Coaches) and Second-Team (Media).[2]

Minnesota Vikings

Odenigbo was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round, 220th overall, in the 2017 NFL Draft.[4][5] He was waived on September 2, 2017 and was signed to the practice squad the next day.[6][7] He signed a reserve/future contract with the Vikings on January 22, 2018.[8]

On September 1, 2018, Odenigbo was waived by the Vikings.[9]

Cleveland Browns

Odenigbo was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns on September 2, 2018.[10] On September 22, 2018, Odenigbo was waived by the Browns.[11]

Arizona Cardinals

On September 24, 2018, Odenigbo was claimed off waivers by the Arizona Cardinals.[12]

Personal life

He is of Nigerian descent. His brother Tito Odenigbo plays for the Miami Hurricanes. [13]
