Legend
Lord Haleshi Madev is a sacred temple situated in Khotang District of Nepal. It is believed that this cave has been used by Lord Shiva to hide from the demon Bhasmasur for 6000 years. The location of this cave is between the holy rivers of Dudh Koshi and Sun Kosi. During Bhasmasur, Rama Navami[1] and Ganesh Chaturthi fairs and festivities are held in the region. Hindu people of India also visit here after climbing many hills. This place is usually cold and rainy. Nowadays it is also accessible by bikes. Many people come here in the month of Shrawan to pray Haleshi Mahadev from Ladania, Jayanagar etc.
