Guru Studio is a Canadian animation studio.[4] The company has won various industry awards and has been featured in several international film festivals.[1]

In 2001, Guru Studio provided CGI ids and bumpers for Teletoon. The ids and bumpers screened at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival and won prizes.

Guru won a Telly Award in 2010 for their short film Hazed.[5] The film was screened at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, the Animation Block Party, and at other festivals.[2]

Other industry awards the studio has won include a Clio award, a Promax award, and a Mobius award.[1][6]

On February 1, 2016, Guru Studio announced a partnership with Toon Boom Animation. Engineers within both companies will form a team and work together towards developing and incorporating software features into Toon Boom Harmony ( the leading software in the animation industry).[7]
