Gorogobius nigricinctus is a species of gobies endemic to the Atlantic Ocean along the coast from Senegal, to Ghana and down south to Annobón (Equatorial Guinea) as well as São Tomé and Príncipe where it occurs in areas to a depth around 30 m (98 ft) and inhabits the tropical seas. They are not threatening to humans. They are one of two species of Gorogobius which belongs to the family Gobiidae, the other being Gorogobius nigricinctus.

Description

The species was named and described by Kovacic and Schliewen in 2008 alongside Didogobius amicuscaridis.[2]

The male fish grows to a maximum of 4 cm long.[3]

The fish is not dangerous to humans.[3][4]
