Ghale was recorded as one indigenousgroup of Nepalas but after the cosnstituion of 2072 ghale caste is recorded as minority group. They are found in Gorkha, Lamjung, Manang, Bhojpur, Nuwakot, Dhading , Rasuwa, Sindhupalchwock, kaski, Syanja and a few other places of Nepal.The Ghale is one of cast in Nepal. Ghale have many sub cast. Dange Lila, Gyaldung lila, Samri and Rildi Lila is main sub cast of ghale.

The Ghale speaks Ghale languageGhale community proclaim they are a different caste from Gurung. But in Lamjung district, Ghale, Dura, Neupane, Lamichane, Lama Tamang belong to the Gurung ethnic group, and speak Gurung language.
