Geoff Warburton is a Canadian multi-platinum[2][3] songwriter best known for his work with Shawn Mendes. Warburton has co-written three songs on Mendes' debut album Handwritten which debuted at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200.[4] He also co-wrote nine songs on Mendes' second album, Illuminate, including "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back", which reached number 1 on the U.S. Mainstream Top 40 chart and in additional countries worldwide.[5][6][7] He also co-wrote six songs on Mendes' 2018 self-titled album including the single "In My Blood".[1] In 2018, Warburton signed an extension of his global deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.[8]
