Francis Whichcote
Sir Francis Whichcote, 3rd Baronet (c.1692-1775), of Quy Hall, Cambridgeshire and Aswarby, Lincolnshire, was an English politician.[1]

He was born the eldest surviving son of Sir Paul Whichcote, 2nd Baronet by Jane, the daughter and coheiress of Sir Nicholas Gould, 1st Bt. and educated at St Catharine's College, Cambridge, Trinity Hall, Cambridge and the Inner Temple. He succeeded his father in 1721, inheriting Quy Hall, Cambridgeshire.
He was a Member (MP) of the Parliament of Great Britain for Cambridgeshire 27 November 1718 to 1722. He afterwards sold Quy Hall to James Martin, MP and moved to live at Aswarby Hall, Lincolnshire.
He married twice; firstly, in 1717, Mary, the daughter of Joseph Banks of Revesby Abbey, Lincolnshire and secondly, in 1737, Frances, the daughter of Edward Hall and widow of Sir Nevile Hickman, 4th Bt. of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. He had 2 sons by his second wife and was succeeded by his eldest son, Sir Christopher Whichcote, 4th Baronet.
