Fenerbahçe University (Turkish: Fenerbahçe Üniversitesi) is a private university in Ataşehir, Istanbul, Turkey. To be built on a 50.000 square meter land, the university got its approval from Ministry of Finance (Turkey) and is in the stages of finalisation. Fenerbahce S.K. also applied to the Council of Higher Education (Turkey) with the academic details of the university. According to the application the university will have; "Faculty of The Art and Sciences", "Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences", "Communication Faculty" and "Sports Science and Technologies" faculty in its first 3 years. A "Law Faculty" is also targeted to include in the university in 5 years after its opening. In its first year the goal is to have 1000 students to be in the university and in 5 years the target number is 6000. Also, one of the main goals is to give scholarships to 20% percent of this number.[1][2]
