FK NFA is the football team, which based in Kaunas, Lithuania, currently plays in I Lyga,[1] the second tier of Lithuanian football. That`s not some kind of the football club. NFA means National Footaball Academy and this team representing this organisation. Play in competition without licensing needfull for other football clubs.
History
National Football Academy was estabished in 2006.[2]
In 2012 was founded team for I Lyga. In that season was in 6th places. After season heads of NFA decided play in 3rd tier.
In 2013 was in II Lyga (3rd tier). After half of the season was in 3rd place, and after summer in Pirma lyga was delegated FC Stumbras. This change can be looks trange, but head coach of FC Stumbras was son of the president of LFF (Lithuanian Football Federation). FK NFA is gone in the middle of the season, and finished FC Stumbras.
In 2017 FK NFA was founded again. Played in II Lyga. Won and got promotion.
In 2018, curriently, playing in I Lyga.
Stadium
NFA Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kaunas, Lithuania. The stadium used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FK Kauno Žalgiris, FC Stumbras and other team in early spring, later autumn and winter seasons. And for FK NFA this stadium is for all home matches.
Kit
NFA colours currently are white shirts, black shorts and white socks. Away kits are red shirts, green shorts and green socks.
