Estrela (Portuguese pronunciation: [(ɨ)ʃˈtɾelɐ]) is a Portuguese civil parish (freguesia), located in the municipality of Lisbon. This new parish was created with the 2012 Administrative Reform of Lisbon, merging the former parishes of Lapa, Santos-o-Velho and Prazeres.[1] The population in 2011 was 20,128,[2] in an area of 4.60 km².[3]

The parish is the site of the Assembly of the Republic (the Portuguese Parliament) and of the official residence of the Prime Minister of Portugal. It also concentrates a large number of embassies of foreign countries in Portugal, in particular, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Finland, Indonesia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
