Areeiro (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐˈɾjɐjɾu]) is a Portuguese freguesia ("civil parish"), located in the municipality of Lisbon. This new parish was created with the 2012 Administrative Reform of Lisbon, merging the former parishes of Alto do Pina and São João de Deus.[1] The population in 2011 was 20,131,[2] in an area of 1.74 km².[3]
