Sixth Form Centre

The Old Edgbarrow Sixth Form Centre (Now HillBlock)

Over 200 students study at the school sixth form. The college has trialled a fingerprint recognition system, which teachers have proclaimed to be moderately successful.[3] As well as A-level subjects, students can also follow a GNVQ course, which is an "equivalent" to four GCSEs.[4] The sixth form college is within the top 10% of A-level providers in Great Britain.

A new sixth form and business studies building was opened in September 2010 in order to allow for the ever-increasing student population. The new sixth form building features state-of-the-art facilities to improve learning, including: A quiet study area, a student-run tuck shop, surrounding classrooms, and a large communal atrium where students can socialise. The atrium is also used for assemblies and school events.

Edgbarrow Swingband

The Swingband is a group of swingers, led by Tony Evans, containing brass, wood, percussion, keyboards, and guitars. They have played with each other at many local events and schools including the opening of Jennett's Park School, Bracknell in autumn 2011. They have regular appearances at the school concerts, magic shows and other events as well as hosting their own concerts.
