Echigo-Akatsuka Station (越後赤塚駅, Echigo-Akatsuka-eki) is a railway station on the Echigo Line in Nishi-ku, Niigata, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Echigo-Akatsuka Station is served by the 83.8 km (52.1 mi) Echigo Line, and is 64.9 km (40.3 mi) from starting point of the line at Kashiwazaki.[1]

History

The station opened on 25 December 1914.[3] With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.[3]
