Don DeWitte is a Republican member-designate of the Illinois Senate, chosen in July 2018 to represent the 33rd district, to be sworn in after the official resignation of incumbent Karen McConnaughay.[1] The 33rd includes all or parts of Geneva, St. Charles, West Dundee, Hampshire, Huntley, Carpentersville, Lake in the Hills and Algonquin.[2]

Prior to his appointment to the Illinois Senate, he served as Mayor of St. Charles, Illinois from 2005-2013 and a member of its city council from 1993-2005.[3]
