Dean Cannon (born August 2, 1968, Bitburg Air Base, Germany) served as a Representative in the House of Representatives of the Florida Legislature.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in Journalism, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida as well. While at the University of Florida, Cannon served as Student Body President and was Vice President of Florida Blue Key. He currently resides in Winter Park, Florida with his family. The Orlando Sentinel named Cannon the "fifth most powerful person" in Central Florida in 2008.[3]

Representative Cannon became the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives in 2010 and served through the 2012 elections. He started a lobbying firm after leaving office in 2012.[4]
