Datta Putrudu (English: Foster Son) is a 1972 Telugu drama film, produced by Tammareddy Krishna Murthy under the Ravindra Art Pictures banner[2] and directed by T. Lenin Babu.[3] It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Vanisri in the lead roles,[4] with music composed by T. Chalapathi Rao.[5]

Plot

Ramanna (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) has adopted the kid by Dharmaiah (Mikkilineni) and Parvathamma (Shanta Kumari) couple, which irks Parvathamma's brother Sheshayya (Nagabhushanam) who has an eye on their property. He frames Dharmaiah in a murder case and sends him to jail. Ramanna takes care of Parvathamma and her daughter Saroja (Venneradai Nirmala). Saroja studies in the city where she falls in love with Raja (Ramakrishna), son of Seshayya. Seshayya and Ramanna both oppose their marriage. How it all ends on a happy note is the rest of the story.
