Darling railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Malvern East, having opened on 24 March 1890.[1]

The line through the station was originally built to link Burnley to the Outer Circle line and on to Oakleigh. The outer part of the line beyond Darling closed on 9 December 1895,[2] and was not extended to Glen Waverley until 1930. Darling was upgraded to a Premium station in 2008, although the current platform buildings date back to 1979.[3]
