Dai Chopan (Hazara tribe)

The Dai Chopan (Dari: دایچوپان‎) are a Hazara tribe found in Afghanistan. They are generally numbered among the eight overarching Hazara tribes, but not among the five "original tribes".[1] Together with the Dai Khitai, they form the Uruzgani tribe. DaiChopan is also a sub tribe of Uruzganis and the district with the same name is in Zabul Province. Daichopan are the descendants of Amir Chopan, a Hazara chieftain and whose grave is at Grishik, Helmand Province.[2][3]
