Tata Cromā is an Indian retail chain for consumer electronics and durables. It is the nation's first large format specialist retail chain for consumer electronics and durables with successful expansion into Cromā Zip stores, Cromā Kiosks and latest online vertical, www.croma.com. Tata Group company Infiniti Retail runs Cromā stores in India. Infiniti Retail Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of TATA Sons.[2][3]

In 2012, Infiniti retail acquired the Indian retail business of Woolworths for A$35 million, or Rs. 200 crore.[4]

Launched in 2006, Cromā was the first one-of-its kind large format specialist retail store that catered to all multi-brand digital gadgets and home electronic needs in India. Over a decade since its inception, Cromā has almost become synonyms for all electronics needs, with its tech-savvy staff, product range, online presence and the will to help customers.

Bringing alive the promise of a ‘Brighter Every Day’ for its customers, Cromā offers its customers a world-class ambience to shop both in-store and online at www.croma.com and also allows for a seamless ‘omni-channel’ shopping experience that lets a customer enjoy the best of both the online & the offline worlds. Cromā launched its own label products in 2008. Brand Cromā stands for – Life, More Beautiful; the promise is based not just on the beauty in the way they look but also the value they offer to a customer’s life.

Presently, there are a total of 112 Cromā stores in 21 cities in India.[5] The stores are spread across the states of Maharashtra (Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad), Gujarat (Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara), Delhi NCR, Gurgaon, Karnataka (Bangalore), Punjab (Amritsar, Jalandhar), Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Uttar Pradesh (Ghaziabad, Noida) and Telangana (Hyderabad, Secundarabad).[6]

Gadgets of Desire

In May 2018, Cromā launched its first premium format store called 'Gadgets of Desire' (GoD) in New Delhi. Other than any electronic store in market, it introduce new innovative electronic products. The standalone 'Gadgets of Desire' store that has opened in Delhi's Green Park follows the 27 other shop-in shop Gadgets of Desire zones already present across the existing retail store chain in India.
