Classical Gas is the eighth studio album by Australian musician Tommy Emmanuel with by the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra. The album was released in February 1996 and it peaked at number 6 on the ARIA Charts; thus becoming Emmanuel's second top ten album. The album was certified gold.[1]
At the ARIA Music Awards of 1996, the album was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album, losing out to Romeo's Heart by John Farnham.[2]
