Francisco Leonel Lima Silva Machado (born 19 July 1995), known as Chiquinho, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Moreirense F.C. as an attacking midfielder.

Career

Born in Santo Tirso, Chiquinho made his professional debut with Leixões in a 2014–15 Taça da Liga match against Santa Clara on 30 July 2014.[1]

In February 2017, Leixões accepted Lokomotiva's bid of €200,000, and Chiquinho penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Croatian club.[2] His first match took place on 25 February, in a 2–0 league home win over NK Osijek.[3] Later, on 21 July, he moved to Académica de Coimbra on a one-year loan with an option to sign permanently.[4]

After Académica acquired financial rights to the player,[5] Chiquinho signed a five-year contract with Benfica on 28 May 2018.[6][7] Shortly after, in late July, he penned a five-year deal with Moreirense F.C., with Benfica retaining 50% of his economic rights.[8]
