Caterpillar C32 [1]
Caterpillar-brand engine encased in its yellow enclosure depicted. On the right there is a cylindrical oil filter and on slightly below the middle left also two oil filters side by side. "CAT 1R-1808 - Advanced" reads on these filters. On the bottom it reads "CAT C32 MARINE ENGINE". On the upper right there is a black plate reading "CAT C32" along with some unreadable text. Several white quality check stickers glued on the engine.

Chronology
Predecessor Caterpillar 34 series engine

The Caterpillar C32 is a V12 diesel internal combustion engine made by Caterpillar. The engine is 32.1 liters in displacement (1959 cubic inches). The cylinder size is 5.71 x 6.38 bore/stroke. Caterpillar C32 is the most power-dense high-speed diesel engine[note 1] of Caterpillar. The engine can produce 600-1800 horsepower at 2300 RPM. The peak torque occurs at an engine speed of 1500 RPM. The engine weighs over three tonnes at 6780 pounds. The Cat C32 is often used in locomotives[2] and yacht-class ships.[3]
