Canefield Airport (IATA: DCF, ICAO: TDCF) is an airport on the west coast of the island nation of Dominica. It is three miles (5 km) north of Roseau, the capital. Construction began in early 1979 with British funding, shortly after Dominica's independence.[4]
Runway
The Canefield Airport has one runway 01/19, which measures 3130 feet (954 metres). Runway 01 has a 500-foot displaced threshold. There is mountainous terrain to the east, and rising terrain north and south, with the Caribbean to the west.
The Canfield non-directional beacon (Ident: DCF) is located 3.5 nautical miles (6.5 km) north of the airport. The Douglas Charles NDB-DME (Ident: DOM) is located 14.0 nautical miles (25.9 km) north-northeast of the airport.

Incidents and accidents
- On Tuesday, March 1, 2011 Bevin Air services a Rockwell Shrike Commander aircraft right main gear blew and the aircraft veered off the runway to the right. There were no injuries and this mishap is still unexplainable.
- On Thursday, February 16, 2012 an Anguilla Air Services Cessna 402 made an emergency landing due to a loose bolt. It arrived safely, was checked and departed.
- On Thursday, February 27, 2014 a Coastal Air Cessna 404 aircraft ran off the runway. Officials are still uncertain why and the plane suffered extensive damage to the left wing.
- On Sunday, February 8, 2016 a private Cessna 404 from Venezuela run off the runway. It was written off due to damages beyond repair. There were no injuries.
- On Wednesday, February 7, 2018 a Bevin Air Services a Rockwell Shrike Commander aircraft upon landing had a hose gear failure. It dragged down the runway a few feet before coming to a halt. There were no injuries. Investigations are still ongoing.
