CNN Indonesia is a television station and news site owned and operated by Trans Media in collaboration with AT&T's Turner International. CNN Indonesia aired for the first time on Monday, 17 August 2015.

CNN Indonesia is part of the strategy of Transmedia to expanding their contents to news channel business. CNN Indonesia is combining a unique programming environmental with cross their programming into Free to Air (FTA) platforms with simulcasting under Trans TV & Trans 7, as 24 hours channel in pay tv (Transvision & Indihome/Usee TV), live streaming on digital portal (cnnindonesia.com) and also aggressively growing the audiences on new media platforms – YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

Broadcast

Broadcasting in Indonesian from the studio of Trans Media, CNN Indonesia covers international and local news, with a focus on general news, business, sports, technology and entertainment. Meanwhile, a website was launched on 20 October 2014 by Yusuf Arifin as editor in chief.

Currently, CNN Indonesia broadcasts 24 hours a day and can be seen on pay-for-view TV providers as well as on a live stream on its website and Trans Media's Transvision.

Relationship with CNN International

CNN Indonesia and CNN International are two distinct and separate organizations, but cooperate and assist each other to produce new reports.
