Focus

Over 80% of the consultancy’s work is concentrated in the ‘golden triangle’ of Oxford, Cambridge and Milton Keynes, including sector-leading work in the science & technology and education sectors. The core focus of Bidwells is to help investors, developers, occupiers, house builders and home owners harness the benefits of the exceptional growth in the golden triangle, which represents over 44% of all real estate activity in the United Kingdom.

Bidwells also has a strong rural presence and manages thousands of square miles of the English and Scottish countryside and coastline. It is one of the leading consultancies in the high-growth forestry, renewables and agriculture markets.

Bidwells works across the commercial, residential and rural property sectors with:

  • Investors
  • Developers
  • Occupiers
  • Universities and colleges

Company history

Since its establishment in 1839,[5] Bidwells has retained many of its original clients, including some of the best-known colleges in Oxford and Cambridge, who are among the biggest landowners in the United Kingdom. Today, Bidwells manages over £5.2 billion in property assets[6] and employs over 550 people in England and Scotland.

The firm’s Cambridge headquarters re-opened officially in March 2018 after a transformative refurbishment project to create the city’s most agile work space;[7] an innovatively designed three-storey 21,000 sq. ft building still known as Bidwell House.
