Between the Sky and Sea (ソラとウミのアイダ, Sora to Umi no Aida, lit. "The Space Between the Sky and Sea") is a Japanese media franchise owned by ForwardWorks, with Oji Hiroi credited as the original creator. It primarily consists of a smartphone game, released for Android and iOS on September 28, 2017. A Microsoft Windows version by DMM will be released in Q2 2018.[1] An anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment premiered on October 4, 2018.

Anime

An anime television series adaptation was announced on July 25, 2017.[3] Atsushi Nigorikawa is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment, and Takashi Yamada is in charge of series composition. Shūhei Yamamoto is drawing the character designs.[2] The series premiered on October 4, 2018, on Tokyo MX and other channels.[4][lower-alpha 1] The opening theme is "Sora to Umi no Aida" (ソラとウミのアイダ) by Karin Takahashi, Honoka Inoue, and Momoko Suzuki under their character names, and the ending theme is "Ao no Kanata" (蒼の彼方, lit. "Beyond the Blue") by Konomi Suzuki.[5][6][7] The series will run for 12 episodes.[8] Crunchyroll is streaming the series.[9]
