Baptist Convention of Haiti (Convention Baptiste d'Haïti in french) is a Baptist Christian denomination, affiliated with the Baptist World Alliance, in Haiti. The headquarters is in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti.

History

The Baptist Convention of Haiti began with a mission of the Baptist Missionary Society in 1823 in Cap-Haïtien. [1] In 1923, the American Baptist Home Mission Society established and worked at the union of Baptist churches. [2] The Convention is officially formed in 1964. [3]

In 1994, it established the Christian University of Northern Haiti in Limbé. [4]

In 2010, it has 112 churches and 50,000 members. [5]
