History

The Baptist Convention of Tanzania started in 1956 as a foreign mission of the Southern Baptist Convention of the United States of America. [1] The Baptist Convention of Tanzania was officially formed in 1971. [2]

In 2015, it has 1,250 churches and 2,028,000 members. [3]
