Banner is an unincorporated community in northern Iron County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1]
The community is located on the banks of Cedar Creek on Missouri Route 32 west of Belleview.[2]
History
A post office called Banner was established in 1924, and remained in operation until 1956.[3] It is unknown why the name "Banner" was applied to this community.[4] A variant name was "Brule".[1]
