Ballyknockan

Ballyknockan or Ballynockan (/bæləˈnɒkən/ bal-ə-NOK-ən; Irish: Buaile an Chnocáin) is a village in County Wicklow, Ireland.

Ballyknockan has been known for the granite quarries that have existed since the early 19th century.[1]

The village overlooks the Poulaphouca reservoir which provides water to thousands of Dublin homes and creates electricity, while also offering many water pursuits such as fishing, sailing, windsurfing, boating, and leisure cruising and canoeing.[2]

Ballyknockan hosts the Ballyknockan Music Festival "KnockanStockan", annually each summer.
