Bahar Azadi Coin

Bahār-e Āzādī (Persian: بهار آزادی, lit. "[The] Spring of Freedom"), also known as "Imami", is an Iranian gold coin minted by Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CBI), replacing Pahlavi Coin after Iranian Revolution. Calligraphy of the word علی ("Ali") and face of Ruhollah Khomeini is seen on sides of the coin.[1] As of June 2018, a total of 7,600,000 gold coins have been minted by the CBI (i.e. roughly one coin for 10 persons in Iran).[2]

The gold coin has a purity rate of 90% and weighs 8.13 grams. In July 2018, it was priced at 47,000,000 rials (~$400.–), depending on world gold price and forex rates.[3]
