Andrew Doig (minister)

The Very Rev Andrew Beveridge Doig, D.D. (18 September 1914; 21 December 1997) was an eminent Church of Scotland minister, most notably Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland from 1981 until 1982.[1]

He was born in Edinburgh[2] and educated at Hyndland Secondary School, Glasgow University and the Union Theological Seminary in New York. He was ordained in 1938; and served in Nyasaland from 1939 to 1963. He was then Minister at Dalkeith from 1963 to 1972.[3]
