The American Baccalaureate School (formerly known as American Bilingual School) is a private, fully accredited Pre-K–12 American School in Abraq Khaitan, Kuwait, offering a curriculum based on American teaching standards.

Facilities

The ABS campus is a 25,000 square foot facility with over 100 classrooms, 7 buildings, campus-wide internet connectivity, Smart boards in every classroom, 7 computer labs, 2 full-service cafeterias, specialist rooms for Culinary Arts, Drama and Art. ABS has separate but adjacent boy's and girl's campuses. Classrooms are co-ed thru grade 5. Students are segregated in different buildings from Middle School onwards.[1] ABS offers an oversized gymnasium that was purposely built for separation of male and female students with separate entrances and exits for boys and girls. It contains an indoor semi-olympic sized swimming pool and a 1,200 square metres (13,000 sq ft) area for basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, and handball.

The ABS library is fully automated with the Follett system; all transactions are handled electronically. The library is a place which ABS students go to borrow books, learn library skills, obtain access to information from a variety of sources, perform research, hear read-aloud stories, talk with the librarian about books, or just enjoy a quiet place to read.
