Ali Muhammad Khan (Urdu: علی محمد خان; born 30 November 1977) is a Pakistani politician who is the current Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, in office since 17 September 2018. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, since August 2018.
Previously he was a member of the National Assembly from June 2013 to May 2018.
Early life
Khan was born on 30 November 1977.[1]
Political career
He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Constituency NA-10 (Mardan-II) in Pakistani general election, 2013.[2][3][4][5] He received 46,531 votes and defeated a candidate of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F).[6]
In 2014, a police case was registered again Khan after he stormed a police station which caused injuries to three policemen.[7]
He was re-elected to the National Assembly as a candidate of PTI from Constituency NA-22 (Mardan-III) in Pakistani general election, 2018.[8] He received 58,577 vote and defeated Mohammad Qasim.[9]
On 17 September 2018, he was inducted into the federal cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan[10] and was appointed as Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs.[11]
