Akka Pettanam Chelleli Kapuram (English: Elder Sister's Authority and Younger Sister's Family) is a 1993 Telugu drama film, produced by Maganti Sudhakar under the Siva Shakthi Studios Pvt. Ltd. & Prabhu Films banner[2] and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao.[3] It stars Rajendra Prasad, Aparna and Jayasudha in the lead roles, with music composed by Vasu Rao. The film was a remake of the Tamil movie Pondatti Rajyam (1992).[4] The film is the debut of hero Vikram in the film industry.[5]

Plot

Satyanarayana (Rajendra Prasad) a young and energetic guy works as a General Manager in a company headed By Ammaji (Y. Vijaya) & Brahmaji (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Satyanarayana gets acquainted with a beautiful and innocent girl Chinni (Aparna) and both of them fall in love. Chinni is a marionette in the hands of her elder sister Ranganayaki (Jayasudha), who hates men. She believes that all men deceive their wives because of her experience in life. When Satyanarayana reaches Ranganayaki taking the alliance of Chinni, she keeps some tests to Satyanarayana and after exploring his character, she agrees to their marriage. After the marriage, Ranganayaki spoils Chinni's mind and creates suspicion on her husband for everything. After some comic incidents, Satyanarayana leaves to the camp on office work. On the way, he meets his childhood soulmate Radha Krishna (Vikram), who is everything to him. Radha Krishna takes him to his fiance Sona (Srikanya), who is an orphan and he is going to marry her without his elders' permission. Satyanarayana decides to perform their wedding, all by himself out of affection. During the time of marriage, unfortunately, Radha Krishna dies while protecting Satyanarayana. At that time, Sona is pregnant and she is left alone. Now Satyanarayana takes up Sona's responsibility as his own sister. Due to the fear of his wife and her sister, he keeps Sona at company guest house. At the same time, Chinni also becomes pregnant, both of them gives birth to baby boys. After that, the truth comes forward and Chinni & Ranganayaki reach Sona. Chinni suspects the relation between Satyanarayana and Sona and makes a lot of mess on the provocation of Ranganayaki. The rest of the story is how Satyanarayana gets rid of these problems and makes people understand the sacred relation between him and Sona.
