Airuno (Brianzöö: Irün) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Milan and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) south of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,749 and an area of 4.3 square kilometres (1.7 sq mi).[1]
Airuno borders the following municipalities: Brivio, Colle Brianza, Olgiate Molgora, Olginate, Valgreghentino. It is served by Airuno railway station.
