The Zamindar of the village Raja Raghunath Rao asks him to give back the school which was donated by his father, offers a bribe and even tries to threaten him, but Anantaramaiyah did not yield. Hence Ragunatha Rao sets fire to the school building, in that accident, Anantaramaiah dies while protecting children. Prasad and Sarada become orphans and their paternal (Lakshmi Kanthamma) and maternal (Radha Kumari) aunts take one each of them. The maternal aunt Ramanamma harasses Saradha a lot. Knowing this, Prasad reaches there and asks her to give back his sister, but she refuses. So, he decides to take care of his sister at any cost. He reaches the city and joins as a mechanic in a garage owned by Parandhamiah (Dhulipala). Years roll by, Prasad (N. T. Meanwhile, a rich man Gopal (Rama Krishna) enters the village. Ramanamma arranges Sarada as a servant to him. Gopal traps Sarada makes her pregnant and absconds. Prasad looks for a good alliance for his sister and goes to get her. When he reaches there, he comes to know that she was cheated by Gopal and he takes an oath that he will settle his sister's life. Prasad brings Sarada with him and Vijaya also wholeheartedly accepts her. After some time, Sarada recognizes Gopal, who is the son of Parandhamaiah, but Gopal refuses to accept her. Prasad in that frustration tries to beat Gopal, Parandhamiah makes him calm and says that he will accept his sister as his daughter-in-law. On that night, Parandhamiah traps Prasad into a false case and sends him to jail. Time passes, Prasad is released from jail and Sarada gives birth to a baby boy. Prasad takes the baby to Parandhamaiah and challenges with him that he will definitely make his sister as his daughter-in-law.
