Aap Ke Aa Jane Se (English: You Coming Into My Life) is an Indian soap opera which premiered on 15 January 2018 on Zee TV.^[1][2] The series is produced by the production house Bodhi Tree Multimedia Pvt. Ltd. ^[3] It stars Karan Jotwani and Suhasi Dhami in the lead roles.^[4] The show marks the comeback of actress Suhasi Dhami after taking a 3 year break from TV.^[5][6]

Plot

Sahil Agarwal is a 24-year old kind-hearted heir of the Agarwal Gold Industry in Kanpur who falls for 42-year old Vedika Mathur, a conservative, independent widow who has a daughter, Arya Mathur. As Sahil pursues Vedika, she is conflicted because of family opposition and social protocol that frowns upon a possible relationship between them. The strong-minded matriarch of the Agarwal family, Bimla "Badi Amma" Agarwal who is also Sahil's aunt, is vehemently against Vedika. Though they are about to be married, Vedika replaces herself with a young woman named Nidhi and tricks Sahil into marrying Nidhi who has his family's approval. This devastates Sahil but he continues to openly express his love for Vedika and refuses to accept Nidhi as his wife. He also starts to hate his Badi Amma for cheating him. Nidhi is a cunning gold digger who only wants the Agarwals' wealth. Rejected by Sahil, she sleeps with his best friend Karan when he is drunk and becomes pregnant. She claims the child is Sahil's who is forced to accept this as fact.

Vedika enters the Agarwals' house with their elder long-lost heir Yash Kumar Agarwal who claims to be the son of Leela Agarwal (first wife of Ishwar Agarwal; Badi Amma's husband). Yash reveals that his father Ishwar married Badi Amma because she was his secretary before the marriage. Later, Yash introduces Vedika as his fiancee and lays claim to his share of the property. Back in their lives, Vedika is able to save Sahil's sister Shruti's life by stopping her wedding to a fraud hired by Sahil's older brother-in-law Puneesh (husband of Prachi; Sahil's Cousin and Badi Amma & Ishwar's daughter). Puneesh had an affair with Shruti and then blackmailed her to do as he said. Vedika convinces Karan to marry a distraught Shruti but discovers at the last minute that Karan and Nidhi had a one night stand. While Karan wants to help Shruti, Vedika decides to tell Sahil. Before she can tell him, Nidhi arranges for Vedika's car to meet with an accident. However, after a series of dramatic events, Vedika and Sahil are able to make it in on time and stop Shruti's wedding. Nidhi gets arrested for all the crimes she committed and all seems well.

Contrary to expectations, Yash and Vedika announce their wedding and Sahil becomes devastated. Soon, Badi Amma is exposed to her family. Sahil is shattered and she loses what little sway she used to have over him. She herself loses the aura and power that she used to hold in the house, but as usual, she continues to nurse hatred against Vedika and continues her evil ways. Vedika's cousin Bhoomi enters the show, to help Sahil win over Vedika's affection. A few days after their wedding, Vedika announces she is pregnant with Yash's child (actually Sahil's child due to a mixup in artificial insemination) which devastates Sahil. To make Vedika jealous, Sahil and Bhoomi announce their engagement, after which Puneesh and Badi Amma plot to remove Vedika, as she shouldn't give birth to the heir of the Agarwal family. However, Yash saves her from their hired killer and dies himself while apologising to Vedika and Sahil for the wrong deeds that he had committed. Vedika becomes a widow again.

Vedika is shown as an inauspicious and a scandalous woman due to Yash's death. TV channels start to post pictures of Vedika and Sahil. Vedika decides to go away from Agarwal house till the birth of her child. It is revealed that the Nurse who had mixed up Vedika's file and the doctor who performed the artificial insemination know about Vedika's child being Sahil's child as well. Due to Anjana's sudden acceptance of Vedika and Sahil's union as she finds out the truth, Badi Amma cruelly poisons her and all the blame goes to Vedika, who is jailed as part of Badi Amma's plan, who will take away her child from her and pass the child to Sahil, while Deepak passes his daughter to Vedika. Sahil, believing Badi Amma, starts hating Vedika and marries Bhoomi. It is then hinted that Bhoomi will nurture feelings for Sahil and thus become a barrier between Vedika and Sahil. ^[7]

The show then takes a 5 year leap. Vedika came back with her daughter Sadika whom she thought to be a daughter of her and Sahil.
