The 39th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held at Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel, on May 11, 1991. This is for the Outstanding Achievements of the different films for the year 1990.
For this year Nora Aunor won her fifth Best actress Award, thus elevating her to the Hall of Fame status. On the other hand, Andrea, Paano Ba ang Maging Isang Ina? was this year most awarded movie, winning four including, Best Picture, Best Actress ( Aunor), Best Screenplay and Best Editing[1]
