The 2017 Sarangani earthquake was an earthquake felt on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, occurring on April 29, 2017, at 4:23:14 A.M. PST. The earthquake struck in Soccksargen, the province of Lanao del Sur and nearby provinces in Davao Region. According to an initial report in PHILVOLCS, the epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of 57 km, south of Sarangani Province, and hit the province of Davao Occidental and South Cotabato.[1][2] A magnitude 5.9 aftershock occurred on August 5, 2017, at 8:30:39 PST.[3]
