A series of mass protests were held in Armenia following the 2003 presidential election, led by the former presidential candidate Stepan Demirchyan.

Background

2003 Armenian Presidential election opposition candidate Stepan Demirchyan, who official runner-up of that election, was defeated by Robert Kocharyan in second round, starts protest for demand authority retirement in Freedom Square, later starts rally to Presidential Palace, but police blocks the road from front of National Assembly, after this protesters announced sit-in, later police attacks to protesters for disperse sit-in.^[1]^[2]
