The 1997–98 Iraq FA Cup was the 21st edition of the Iraq FA Cup. The tournament was won by Al-Zawraa for the 12th time in their history, beating Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 4–3 on penalties in the final after a 1–1 draw.[1] Al-Zawraa's previous results in the tournament included a 6–0 aggregate win over Al-Karkh (1–0 and 5–0), a 17–0 aggregate win over Al-Qassim (6–0 and 11–0), a 5–1 aggregate win over Duhok (2–1 and 3–0) and a 3–1 aggregate win over Al-Shorta (1–0 and 2–1).[2]
