The 1982 San Francisco State Gators football team represented San Francisco State University during the 1982 NCAA Division II football season.

San Francisco State competed in the Far Western Conference (FWC)[note 1]. The Gators were led by head coach Vic Rowen in his 22nd year at the helm.
