การณ์

From Pali kāraṇa (“case, matter; cause, motive, reason, root; etc”), or from Sanskrit कारण (kāraṇa, “reason; reasoning; action; etc”). Cognate with Modern Khmer ការណ៍ (kaa).

การณ์ • (gaan)

1. (formal, elegant) event, happening, incident, situation; activity, action, act, deed; business, affair, matter, case.
   • Mark 13:4, KJV:

     สิ่งไรจะเป็นหมายสำคัญว่าการณ์ทั้งปวงนี้จวนจะสำเร็จ

     sìng rai jà bpen mǎai sǎm-kan wâa gaan táng-bpuuang níi juuan jà sǎm-rèt

     what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

   • Luke 10:23, KJV:

     นัยน์ตาทั้งหลายที่ได้เห็นการณ์ซึ่งพวกท่านได้เห็นก็เป็นสุข

     nai-dtaa táng-lǎai tîi dâai hěn gaan sʉ̂ng pûuak tân dâai hěn gɔ̂ bpen sùk

     Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

   • Luke 23:48, KJV:

     คนทั้งปวงที่มาชุมนุมกันเพื่อจะดูการณ์นี้ เมื่อเห็นแล้วก็พากันตีอกของตัวกลับไป

     And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
