Borrowed from Aramaic הֵּבְרָא / ܬܷܒܪܐ (təḇrā, fragment), absolute state תְּבַר /‎ ܬܒܱܪ (tḇar), from תְּבַר / ܬܒܱܪ (tḇar, to break, to fract), the Aramaic equivalent to Arabic ثَبَرَ (ṯabara, to destroy).
